Trade brief · Konjic, Bosnia & Herzegovina

Konjic, built for your itinerary in Bosnia.

Discover Konjic is the local ground operation for one valley: the emerald Neretva, Prenj and Čvrsnica peaks, Jablaničko Lake, and Tito’s bunker. Beyond activities, we secure reliable stay capacity, so you can confirm half-day modules, multi-day programs, or bespoke routings with one local operator.

Custom itineraries

Custom itineraries

Bespoke routings for DMCs, FITs, or group leaders who need something outside our catalog.

  • Private briefings for your lead guide on arrival
  • Supplier coordination (rafting, hiking, transport, lodging)
  • Safety brief and equipment sizing in English
  • Invoice in EUR; NET rates shared after qualification

Every track ships with one English-speaking coordinator, a single invoice in EUR, and operator-neutral delivery — commercial coordination stays with Discover Konjic end to end.

Qualification

Who this is for

Konjic is not a high-volume coach stop. We are a small ground operation built for operators who value clarity, operator-neutral pricing, and a responsive single contact. Before you write, check both columns — the “not for us” list is as important as the fit list.

Good fit

  • Tour operators bundling Sarajevo or Dubrovnik programs who want a meaningful Konjic stop
  • DMCs serving DE / TR / PL / EN markets looking for a ground contact in Herzegovina
  • Small-group adventure brands (8–20 pax) needing rafting + hiking in one base
  • Corporate / incentive planners wanting a 2–3 day retreat away from hotel conference rooms

Not a fit

  • Mass-market bus tours (>40 pax) looking for cheapest-possible rafting add-ons
  • Clients expecting all-inclusive resort infrastructure — Konjic is a working valley, not a resort
  • Itineraries that need multiple unrelated activities crammed into one day
  • Payments on arrival: we invoice in advance under NET terms; we do not collect card payments yet

Konjic specialist depth

Why a valley, not a country

We are not a national DMC. We are a Konjic-only operation — which is exactly why we can answer what time the light hits the Prenj ridge in September, whether the Neretva is runnable the week after heavy spring rain, or which rafting window is better suited to your exact group profile.

Konjic geographic position: 35-minute operational radius on the Sarajevo-Mostar-Dubrovnik corridorMercator-projected map of Bosnia and Herzegovina with neighbors, showing Konjic at the center of a 30km operational radius. The radius contains the Neretva river put-in, Prenj and Cvrsnica massifs, and the ARK D-0 bunker. Sarajevo (65km north), Mostar (65km south), and Dubrovnik (route arc south) are connected by a corridor line.Bosnia and HerzegovinaMontenegroCroatiaKonjicour baseCvrsnicatrails, Hajducka vrataPrenjsummits, ridgesNeretva put-inGlavaticevoARK D-0 bunker5 min from baseSarajevo65 km · ~1hMostar65 km · ~1h 15mDubrovnikon the route arcAdriatic corridor35-minradiusKonjic baseActivity sites (within 35 min)Adriatic corridorOperational radius (~30 km)

Konjic position

  • Sarajevo: 65 km (~1h)
  • Mostar: 65 km (~1h 15m)
  • Dubrovnik arc: 150 km route context

Activity starts (from Konjic base)

  • Neretva rafting put-in: 12 km · ~20 min
  • Tito’s ARK bunker: in town · ~5 min
  • Prenj / Čvrsnica hiking: trailhead drives ~20–40 min (route-dependent)

This is why we plan by valley radius, not by country checklist: less dead transfer time, tighter operational control, and better day-level quality.

Geography in 90 minutes

Konjic sits where the Neretva valley opens between Prenj and Čvrsnica, 65 km south of Sarajevo and 150 km north of Dubrovnik. Every activity we operate is within 35 minutes of our town base — no overnight transfers, no cross-regional bus days.

  • Sarajevo airport (SJJ) — 65 km, ~1 h transfer
  • Mostar — 65 km, ~1 h 15 min transfer
  • Rafting put-in — 12 km upstream, ~20 min
  • Prenj trailheads — 20–40 min depending on summit

Portfolio, not a menu

We run one valley deeply rather than a wide catalogue superficially. That means every activity is stress-tested by our coordinator personally before it enters your itinerary.

  • Water: Neretva rafting (Class II–III), Jablaničko Lake boat trips
  • Mountain: Prenj and Čvrsnica day hikes, Lukomir / Bjelašnica crossings
  • Culture: ARK bunker (Cold War), Old Town Konjic, stonemason crafts
  • Rest: town-central accommodation with capacity for ~40 guests

Seasonality, honestly

Bosnia’s mountain climate is not the Adriatic’s. Booking a Konjic leg requires reading the right month — we will steer you away from windows where the experience degrades.

  • Rafting: mid-April to mid-October (peak May–June runoff, calm July–August)
  • Hiking: late-May to mid-October for Prenj summits; trails snow-in above 1,800 m
  • Lake boat: May to early October; best light and temperature June–September
  • Bunker & culture: year-round, with heated indoor options Nov–March

Where we differentiate

Most Balkan intermediaries spread thin across Sarajevo, Mostar, Blagaj, Kravice, and Konjic in one day. We do the opposite: anchor 1-4 nights in Konjic, then hand your guests back to you for the rest of the arc.

  • Operator-neutral brief: we name the landscape, not the supplier
  • One English-speaking coordinator per booking, not a call centre
  • Safety brief and equipment fit done before the clock starts on activity time
  • Written debrief after every group so the next planner has better data
